One Day Internationals Betting Odds
One Day Internationals (ODI) or Limited Over Internationals (LOI) are a form of cricket played with a limit of 50 overs between two teams with international status. Unlike Test cricket matches that can last up to five days, ODIs are scheduled to start and conclude on the same day, usually lasting around seven to eight hours. ODI is the format played at the Cricket World Cup.
If you’re seeking the best place for ODI World Cup 2023 betting, 10CRIC has got you covered. We are an established Indian sportsbook specialising in cricket betting, offering the best ODI cricket odds and the deepest range of cricket betting markets. Of course, we also cover other forms of cricket and offer Test and Twenty20 cricket betting.
Below, we’ll explain how ODI cricket betting works and why 10CRIC is the best place to take action on all top-level ODI matches.
Discover the Best ODI Odds in India
Finding the best ODI betting odds is imperative if you want to make money, as they directly correlate with your winnings.
For instance, if you lay down ₹1,000 on India winning against Pakistan with the odds of 1.50, you’ll get a ₹500 profit if your prediction is correct. But if you make the same bet with the odds of 1.60, you’ll bank in a $600 profit instead. Here at 10CRIC, we are dedicated to providing the best possible odds on every market, allowing you to maximise your winnings.
Of course, since ODIs can last up to nine hours, we also offer live ODI betting. At any moment during the match, you can find live ODI odds in our live betting section, with constantly shifting odds and lines that reflect the current situation in the oval.
ODI World Cup 2023 Winner Odds
The 2023 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup is just around the corner, and you can already start making bets. We offer some of the most competitive ODI 2023 winner odds. In this market, instead of betting on individual matches, you can predict the winner of the whole tournament.
As the host and one of the best teams on the planet, India is the favourite to win their third title, but will surely face tough competition in England, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa.
ODI Betting
ODI cricket betting is as diverse as betting on any other sport. You can find a range of bets, from main ones like match winner and top batter to obscure proposition bets like guessing who wins the coin toss.
Of course, the match winner is the most popular of all wagers since all you have to do is guess the winning side. If you think there will be a tie, you can also bet on that. Some other popular bets include over/under predictions on first overs, guessing the number of total fours and sixes, top batters and bowlers, player of the match, any player to score 100, and more.
If you decide to bet on ODI 2023 World Cup at 10CRIC, you’ll also find outright bets that relate to the outcomes of an entire tournament.
Aside from ODI and Test, we are also a top-rated T20 betting site in India, so you’ll find plenty of options for the T20 World Cup and a range of leagues and tournaments that play in this format, like IPL or the Big Bash League.
Pre-Match Betting
Pre-match betting considers all bets taken before the beginning of an ODI match. All the bets mentioned above can be found among pre-match markets, including outright bets, which will become temporarily unavailable once a match starts.
Pre-match betting odds can change over time due to several factors. Bookies will gather more info on the match as time goes on and change the odds to reflect that or simply shift the pricing based on where the bets are flowing to keep the edge.
Live Betting
After the coin toss, you can place live bets on ODI matches at 10CRIC through our live betting section. You can take action at any moment during a game, although certain markets may close temporarily while we adjust lines and odds accordingly.
ODI live betting is the most exciting way to bet on cricket. You can take advantage of the changing lines and odds and rely on live data to give you a more accurate prediction.
Live ODI betting also opens up a whole spectrum of new betting opportunities. Aside from all the main and proposition markets as seen during the pre-match period, you can now find a range of micro-betting options, like guessing the outcome of the next over or the very next delivery or predicting which of the batters is going to be out first in the current innings.
Outright Betting
Predicting a winner of an entire cricket competition is sometimes very challenging, especially in a competitive and evenly-matched field like the one exhibited at the Cricket World Cup. However, that’s precisely why outright betting yields some of the highest odds. Even the tournament favourites can sometimes be given odds that can triple or quadruple your stake.
You can explore ODI 2023 winner betting during any tournament played in this format but know that the market may become temporarily closed if there’s a match in play.

About ODI
The first concept of ODI cricket emerged in 1971 during a match between Australia and England. The match kept getting washed out due to bad weather, so the officials decided to hold a one-day game with 40 eight-ball overs per team instead.
Throughout the early 1970s, the World Series Cricket would further popularise the one-day format, which was soon followed by the first official ODI Cricket World Cup in 1975 (Prudential Cup '75).
To be successful at One Day International betting, you should at least be familiar with the game’s rules and the ranking system. If you don’t know much about ODI cricket, our basic ODI betting guide will surely help you familiarise yourself with this format and lead you to ultimately becoming a sharper cricket bettor.
Rules
ODI cricket rules follow the general laws of cricket, with the major difference being that the number of overs is limited to 50 (it varied between 40 and 60 overs for a time before settling at 50).
Each side fields 11 players, and the coin-flip winner elects whether to bat or bowl first. The batting team sets the target score in a single innings that lasts until the batters are all out, and the second team to bat tries to win the match by surpassing the target score. Each bowler is restricted to bowling only ten overs, which means there must be at least five bowlers per team.
If the two teams have an equal score after the final over, the match is either decided by a Super Over or simply ends in a tie.
India at ODI Matches
India is one of the top ODI cricket teams, currently ranked third in the world. They have played over 1,000 ODI matches and boast a win percentage of just over 55%.
Historically, India’s most common ODI opponents were Sri Lanka, Australia, West Indies, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand. They are also a two-time winner of the Cricket World Cup (1983 and 2011), with Australia being the only nation with more titles (5).
India will host the next Cricket World Cup, and based on the current India ODI betting odds, they are favoured to win the third title.
